Return to the Roots of Pilates
This course reconnects us with the roots of the method – a journey into the classical principles and precise practice of Joseph Pilates’ original sequence, thoughtfully adapted for the modern world and contemporary movement.
Although the method was created nearly a century ago, the practice remains alive, dynamic, and evolving – just like the body itself.
Throughout the course, you’ll deepen your practical anatomical knowledge, learning to recognize movement patterns, work with precision, and translate your teaching to the individual needs of your students – all from a place of listening, understanding, and a strong, confident foundation.
Mat Pilates Instructor Training
The Pilates method, as developed by Joseph Pilates, was born from a deep passion for movement, healing, and conscious control of the body.
He called it Contrology – not just a series of exercises, but a complete way of life.

Adapting Pilates for the Modern World
The modern world brings new challenges: changes in movement habits, lifestyle, and body structure. That’s why it’s important to adapt the practice – making Pilates accessible to everyone, not only to those who can perform Joseph Pilates’ original, demanding sequence.
This course bridges the past and the present, the classical and the modern – allowing everyone to experience the amazing method Joseph Pilates created.
With respect for the original principles and a deep understanding of the ever-changing body, we develop an approach that is open to all: accessible, precise, and rooted in listening.
It starts on the mat,
and flows into everything you do

What You’ll Learn in the Course
In this course, you’ll master the classical Pilates sequence – 34 exercises – as well as Pre-Pilates exercises, the use of equipment, and teaching methodology. You’ll also learn how to plan engaging lessons and prepare yourself to step confidently into the field as a new Pilates instructor.
Anatomy
The Mat Course Includes Pilates Anatomy for Instructors
As part of this course, we will explore the key connective tissues, deepen our understanding of the muscular and skeletal systems, study pathologies, special populations, and learn appropriate modifications.
Why is anatomy an essential part of the method in the modern world?
Pilates is a wonderful method – but it’s not meant only for the body of a dancer or elite athlete.
A high-quality Pilates class allows every body to move, understand, strengthen, and progress – exactly from where it is.
In this course, we don’t just learn the exercise sequence – we gain a deep understanding of how each exercise works, what it aims to improve, and how to truly adapt it.
We learn how to guide precise practice that helps every student achieve real results.

Today, Pilates belongs to everyone – and your gift as an instructor is making it accessible to each and every student
Not everyone who comes to a Pilates class speaks the “language” of movement.
The true teacher is the one who knows how to teach the letters from the very beginning: to those who have never been exposed, to those who need modifications, creative approaches beyond standard methods, and to those who require a different approach – with flexibility, creativity, and lots of heart and dedication.
Just like a teacher introducing letters in school, a Pilates instructor must know how to guide meaningful, precise, and accessible practice – for students who are already familiar with the method, those taking their first steps, or those with challenges such as back pain, a herniated disc, pregnancy, or in the process of rehabilitation.
