Return to the Roots of Pilates
This course reconnects us with the origins of the method – exploring the classical principles and the precise work of the original Pilates repertoire, as developed by Joseph Pilates, thoughtfully adapted for contemporary movement practice.
Although the method was created nearly a century ago, it continues to be a relevant and evolving system of movement. Today, it is studied and applied within modern movement approaches, where its principles are refined and integrated with current understanding of the body.
Throughout the course, you will develop a deeper practical understanding of movement and anatomy, learning to observe patterns, apply precision, and adapt your teaching to individual needs – grounded in clarity, awareness, and a strong professional foundation.
Mat Pilates Instructor Training
The Pilates method, as developed by Joseph Pilates, was born from a deep passion for movement, healing, and conscious control of the body.
He called it Contrology – not just a series of exercises, but a complete way of life.

Adapting Pilates for the Modern World
Modern life presents new challenges in movement habits, lifestyle, and physical patterns. This makes thoughtful adaptation essential – ensuring Pilates remains accessible to a wide range of bodies, not only those suited to the original, highly demanding sequence developed by Joseph Pilates.
This course bridges classical principles with contemporary practice, integrating tradition with current understanding of movement.
With respect for the original method and an informed awareness of the evolving body, we develop an approach that is inclusive, precise, and grounded in attentive teaching.
It starts on the mat,
and flows into everything you do

What You’ll Learn in the Course
In this course, you’ll master the classical Pilates sequence – 34 exercises – as well as Pre-Pilates exercises, the use of equipment, and teaching methodology. You’ll also learn how to plan engaging lessons and prepare yourself to step confidently into the field as a new Pilates instructor.
Anatomy for Pilates Instructors
This course introduces the foundations of anatomy as a first step into understanding the body through movement and the Pilates method.
We focus on seeing the body through a movement-based lens – how it functions, how it organizes itself, and how this understanding translates directly into teaching.
The aim is to develop clarity in observing different bodies and guiding them in a simple, precise, and effective way.
Pilates is designed for every body, supporting movement, strength, and progress from each person’s starting point.
Instead of focusing on theory for its own sake, we learn to understand each exercise – its purpose, its effect on the body, and how to adapt it thoughtfully when needed.
The anatomy in this course is delivered with accuracy and intention, providing exactly what is needed to teach with confidence, awareness, and ease – no more and no less.

Making Pilates Accessible to Every Body
Not every student who enters a Pilates class speaks the language of movement.
A skilled instructor knows how to build this language from the ground up – guiding beginners, supporting students who need adaptations, and working with a wide range of needs with clarity and sensitivity.
Like a teacher introducing foundations of learning, a Pilates instructor must be able to create accessible, precise, and meaningful practice for every body – from first-time students to those with specific physical needs or in rehabilitation.
